For the bird enthusiasts this is a particularly good time to stay at Bush Pillow. At the moment we have so many birds around the establishment it is hard keeping track of all the feathered visitors. Regular citings include blue waxbills, finches, yellow-white eyes, grey loeries, glossy starlings, yellow eyed bull-bulls, klaas’ cuckoo, hoopoe and the scarlet breasted sunbird.
It is especially interesting to watch them bathing in the pools of water and bird baths throughout the garden. Each group have its own rituals and order. An absolute pleasure to watch them.
I had a lot of fun finding the Paradise Flycatcher nest in the Mullberry tree. What a cutie she is.
